    If you like the improvement with the spacer, you'd really like the header, because it lowers the torque peak more than two and a half times as much as the spacer does if you keep the rest of your exhaust stock.:thumbsup:

    Factory cruise added, wood storage box in bed, wood center console/armrest, charcoal air filter delete.
    I looked at my resonator when I was debating the spacer and thought I would make some small brackets to bolt it onto. Little metal strips with two holes to line up to the new position doesn't look hard to make.

    Yeah, the thread grew into a monster so it's easy for info to get buried. :eek:

    I got the idea to make one from the 4.0 intake manifold spacer that's being sold on this forum. It could only be one half inch thick because of hood clearance issues. But our little 2.7's enjoy a distinct advantage of an intake manifold on the side rather than on top. So I had a prototype made up that's the equivalent of FOUR of the 4.0 spacers stacked on each other. That's the absolute maximum thickness without creating major clearance issues with the engine peripherals. It produced good dyno test results, and worked great on my own truck so I had more made. :)

    Bill, the CNC engineer gets all the credit for both the design and its execution. He is meticulous with details and holds himself to high standards of production. Every idea I can think up, he can make to the same high quality. :thumbsup:

    Right now that's the end of this tooter project and I'll move on to something else. :)

    But when the last spacer is gone, I'll start a "feeler" thread and if enough people are interested I'll make some more... and if there isn't enough interest to support a production run, that's the end of them. Production is completely driven by demand, and I have absolutely no control over that. I can only make them available as long as there are enough people who want them. ;)
