Everything just seems so forced with them, like they're trying to hard to make it like BBC Top Gear. Like when he says good bye at the end. Jeremy Clarkson always says Good night and it just rolls. When that turd mongler says good bye you'd think he was trying to pass a difficult stool sample at an elementary school recital.

Second, lose that bearded douche or get him on his Meds. I don't want to hear about him licking trucks.

the "make the truck louder switch" is not a factory option from Ford. that came with the Hennesey performance upgrade along w/ the new intake, exhaust, comp program, and the extra 64 HP.

nope. i'd still take the raptor. that tacoma was built for show... not go. in order to make that thing be able to hang with a raptor, toyota would prob have to re-start from the ground up. why minus the BFG Baja tires? those are the most dirt proven part on that truck?

I plan on getting a Raptor once my tacoma is paid off. I love Tacomas, but Ford makes a great Full-sized truck!

How much did Ford pay for that extended advertisement, I wonder?

I dunno, it still just doesn't impress me. It's "long" (11 inches?) travel suspension doesn't stack numbers well against aftermarket competition, it carries a hefty pricetag, and pays a big penalty in other areas (load, towing are both less than our tacos).

The new V8 certainly seems nice.

Maybe it's because crawling interests me and I find desert racing boring to the hilt. I'm just not the market demographic.

4 wheel drifting running WOT is definitely fun. I don't get to go that fast in the work truck cause A) It's winter and I get to rock Rugged fails on mine B) It's a work truck with a huge unwieldy MTC on the back of it C) These are monitored roads and speed is strictly enforced. Like you lose your job then and there if you're caught, and D) If I go off the road I don't run over a cactus or a bush, I hit a grove of 70' tall evergreens.

Still fun as shit though to drift in such a huge vehicle. Least I've got a diesel to do it in. :D

travel numbers dont mean anything if the shocks are not tuned. if a truck has 18" front end travel but un-tuned shocks then it's worthless. fox got the raptor shocks 100% dialed in. look what it's able to do w/ just 11" front susp travel. my truck has 13" front travel w/ my TC kit and the raptor can blow through things i would have to slow down for.

I'm not disputing it's not good at what it does. I'm just saying what it does bores me, and I don't find it nearly versatile enough.

A vehicle that mows down desert wash is fine, but getting there faster doesn't seem like a worthy tradeoff to me for all the sacrifices it makes. If I'm going to pay that pricetag and sacrifice core truck capability, it better do more than take a jump.

It's an interesting toy for people who like that sort of thing and have the money to spend. Hucking my truck never interested me, and I guess that's why this doesn't either.

No im from Texas and I still want to jump stuff... Jeff B have you checked out the new ecoboost F-150 engine? 365hp and 22mpg city 27 hwy. Not the ole gas hogs they used to be. Ford has done some really good things in the past few years. The one thing they cant do is make a small truck.....thats why I have a Tacoma!
