I agree that it won't be as good as the UK version, but it could still be fun to watch. Tanner Foust is very good behind the wheel, but I don't know anything about the other two. I guess one is a comedian and the other hosts a Nascar show on Speed. I hear that History Channel has approved 10 episodes so far, but they haven't announced an air date.

 

All I've seen so far as air date is Fall 2010...no specific dates.

 

The other host is actor/comedian Adam Ferrara...he's on Rescue Me

 

Adam Corolla would have been awesome. I really doubt it will be as funny as the UK original but I'll reserve judgement until I see it.

 

are you serious? the BBC (as well as all of the overseas networks) look like mom and pop shops compared to American networks. do you watch their sitcoms? their production value is terrible. all their shows look like they were made in a basement.

 

Top Gear in the UK is publicly funded, Top Gear America will be funded by advertising.

 

They probably make better use of the taxpayer's money than the British government does.

 

also, they dont pay for many of the cars they have on the show so htey save some cash that way. but you're right, they do spend a good bit on the rest of the show and stunts they do

 

This was a great show. Doctor Who is another really good show I just got into. But the other guy in the USA version is Rutledge Wood from a bunch of Speed programs. Dont think this version will be as good, but I'll still watch it

i cant even watch a single episode. the production value reminds me of she scifi channel original movies. i'm sure its a cool idea and story and everything and i'd like to get into it i just cant

and a Nascar driver instead of F1. How bout tony stewart? he drives nascar and is fat.

I'm with you except I don't think I'd waste my time! I think it'll be horrible.

 

I know what you mean, last season of Who was god aweful in terms of production, but the new one isn't as bad. Still doesnt top Archer!

 

Indeed, it won't be the same without the dry English wit. I don't give a crap about the Rovers or Citroens but it still is a great show and the cinematography is first rate.
