    Hello,

Might be a long shot, but was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the outside and inside diameters of a top plate spacer would be for my 08'? Having a hard time finding some reasonably priced ones in Canada, but they look easy enough to make. Thanks for any help!

That was my plan, but after shipping, duties and the exchange rate it came to $175.

Hey, did you ever get the sizes? I swear I’m going to make a hundred of these and sell them for cost to Canadians!

if I could tripple like this I would.

but honestly, its a doughnut with some slots in it, no?

one of these days my imaginary fabrication company will be up and running. Selling sliders, plate bumpers and skid pans to Canadians for Taco's and this would be easy peasy to do...

@Canoehead you have a spacer right? feel like popping it off so we can trace it?

Ya, I measured and made a best guess on size. I’ll have my shop guys make them up this week - might have time to install them this weekend. 3/8” and thinner we would just laser the profile, I’m going 1/2” thick to add an inch of front lift to both sides so it’ll be round stock bored and parted off for these.

I was just in Halifax last month and I miss all the local beer, 9 lock dirty blonde was a favourite, and I was surprised to like the propeller stone fruit.

Next year will be a skid plate, and probably a roof rack, I’m not afraid of spending money on this stuff, I actually prefer to make it if I'm able to.

I got mine from a local Toyota dealer, paid 75 for a pair of the toytec top plate spacers.

I think I have a spacer, but not installed. It's in my collection of things I came across in case someone else wants it. So, tracing it is not going to be any kind of a problem.... so long as I can find it.

Got my hands on one to measure. It's 1/2" thick - is there a change to be made in the "hat" studs to get sufficient length for nut engagement? They are M10 - 1.25 threads.

I'm only looking for an inch change in height and the 1/2" should do it.

Later......... Found the Dorman stud p/n 610-308 which is the right M10-1.25 but 29mm length? Would that be a useful changeout part for the factory "hat"?

Unbelievable that they forced them to pull that ad campaign!! There’s nothing wrong with a dirty blonde from Dartmouth!

Found a set of longer studs M10-1.25:

    rogue-off-road p/n BU30000 = (6) 50mm studs and (6) elastic stop nuts

    $15.00
