    :spy:Just an update, 2nd gens speedo's dont have a pin to stop, but yes they will burry the needle the bottom of the gauge cluster. they wont wrap around

    I got my old 96 2.4l base taco up to 125 mph at a race track in Illinois. Beat a 6 cyl mustang haha.

    pro comp stage II lift kit, retro projection HID headlight and fog, bullbar, bed cover and afe S dry intake.
    not agreeing with anyone (except for who ever come out to be right that is) BUT i do feel like the 2nd gen Tacoma are fast. NOT anywhere near the 160 but 140 is possible with no mods.

    Haha you should see mine... we took it in a plane with us and held it up to the window for awhile so our top speed was like 460 or something. I think it got reset but it was pretty damn cool while it lasted.

    had my STi up to 155 and ran out of balls....had my old gixxer at 170 at 17,xxx rpms in 6th gear. that was nuts! lol

    had to get rid of both though....i was just a tad addicted to speed. Now i have a taco lol

    rode with a few dudes with busa's.....NUTS thats all i can say. Way too much bike....just buy a 1000 more nimble for the twisties. busa's are only fun in a straight line ha

    be careful though!

    Been there done that with STS. :jerkoff: Your looking at over 6's for that set up. It's a semi-quick pick up. It's NOT a Ford Lightening. Even that is a brick, just a faster one :D

    Out of the box, my 06 stops accelerating right at 130, flat, downhill, doesn't matter. Haven't had a chance to stress test the 07, yet.
