Top stop light and topper

I have a appointment to get the recall for the top brake light done and have a topper/cap on. Is that some thing they can do without taking the topper off? Just don't want them to charge me to take the topper off or some thing stupid.

You might want to call and ask them. I would think they would want some more room to work with?

 

Theoretically yes, but who knows. Dealers are twats sometimes. Call em and ask?

 

I'd definitely call and ask them. There's usually not a ton of room between the back of the cab and the front of the cap. And if they do need it removed, I think I'd rather have the place that sold me the cap and specializes in installing them be the one to take it off and put it back on rather than the dealer.

 

Get a buddy to help take it off and back on. It really is not that difficult and if you had it “professionally” installed then you’ll want to remove the cheap foam tape the professionals use and buy something better quality. Look into esc for brand name foam tape/bulbs.
