the driver side yes, I have the trim packer in there but with all the armor, my driver side is about 1/4 - 5/16 lower.

I trimmed a tiny bit on the fender and no longer rub. I figure once I raise the driver side back up, i'll be able to put the mud flaps back on.

I got new bushwhackers for my truck today! To bad we got them all prepped up and went to put them on only to realize they where for a long bed grrr. Oh well just have to wait for the short bed set to come in

 

No, regear. Lower the gear ratio or go with a supercharger. Those are pretty tall tires.

I need to talk to Ron about who did his regear. But I am thinking about doing a regear and ucla's at truckfest. Sofar the biggest difference I notice is the speedometer is off. I need to get them rebalanced becuse now the wheel waights are hitting the front calipers.

 

i'm still on the stock gearing and its ok for me...think i'm more on the lower end but i'm happy with the mpg avg.

I used Hypertech 730107 & installation

to fix my dash and it's pretty dead on when test against my phone gps, ultragauge instant mph reading and the traffic speed radars on base.

I used the original tire size in the 'old setting' and the tire diameter in inches for the 'new setting'

if you re-gear you might have to put in some funny numbers like MrGrimm did to get his tires and gearing to match up properly.

 

I think Ron has his gears done at 4wp. I vote for regear since it's a truck. Once I can find a drop in set of 4.10's to replace my 3:13's I'm you go give it a try

 

As promised Here are the pic with the new tires on the old truck. This month I hit the one year mark of ownership it its her 3rd set of tires!

This is a few minuets after the swap. I need to take it back to have them rebalanced. The weights that they used are rubbing my front break clabbers and driving me nuts on my drive to work in the morning with my windows down!

Cool! When are you getting the right bushwackers? If you turn those little fender clips about 45 degrees, they pop out pretty easy.

 

All the clips are out. Those are foam earplugs buy buddy used to stuff in the holes in my front fender to be funny. Hope the new flairs come in by next week. Or I might have to get creative and mount a bunch of spikes to plug the holes lol.

wow! didn't know nissan had 3:13's!

I think 4:10 would be perfect for the 255/85...sock is 3:73 so its kinda close I guess.

 

I was thinking about putting electrical tape over the holes in the fender just to keep most of the dirt and dust out. Every time I take the flares off, its full of dirt in there. I found the rear was harder to get the holes lined up than the fronts. If you want to paint the bolt heads, as I just did, do them first.

 

That's a good idea I never thought about plugging the holes so dirt and crud do not work here way in. I would hate to have that rust out later down the road.

My buddy Rotha made a replacement bracket to remount it. Plastic dipped the new bracket and it looks a lot better on the truck now.
