Topper Lights

Im wanting some led lights in my topper.
Two strips,one on each side and one strip on glass hatch door to light up the tailgate area.
I’m thinking I want two circuits but want your advise.I want switch on driver side rear bed post so I can access from the side wind door as well.
One for inside and one switch for tailgate light.
That way if I use interior lights while inside the rear hatch with it closed wont shine in our eyes.
Would you run one switch to operate,run two switchs incase you want all lights on and what’s the best switchs.

 

I bought my cap used so no info on parts sources but it was well thought out. It has 2 led tubes on the ceiling and the topper company's dome light. They all 3 have on/off switches. They are wired to this common master switch on the piston.

When you open the hatch it energizes the whole circuit but I can turn them off individually.

I'm thinking about getting one of the Kingpin lights for the back glass too. They can be rotated and have a red option. Pretty cool.
