If you’re leaving it on, I’d suggest redoing your front suspension so you don’t look slightly squatted forever. Even without the suspension discrepancy, I think it looks a lot better without it and unless you just need ultimate functionality, I’d go without.

it’s so much more functional with the top on. I did add a leaf in the rear, lots of weight back there.

I think it looks better with the topper! This coming from someone without a topper.

Topper. It keeps snow, rain, dust, and mosquitos off.

As long as it doesn't affect visibility - I say leave it on.

Topper gang reporting in. I sleep in the back sometimes and it keeps the rain off my stuff.

Once I got my topper I find myself not wanting to do actual truck things with it. I store some stuff back there and made a platform now that I can lock it up. Its a pain to empty it out and get it dirty.

I personally hate those things but they do have their place. As far as installing them for looks, that certainly is an expensive accessory just to look cool.

    This and that
I have a love/hate for all bed accessories. I’ve been through the pile, Diamondback, smart cap, snug top, bed rack. I just pulled the bed rack and slapped on a low profile tonneau that I had. Looks so clean, got to wash my rear windows too. I say leave it off, store it right, spiders love living in those things. Just put it on when the monsoon season starts for you.

On if you ever store/haul anything worth more then fifty cents. An open box is ''free range'' for everybody without morals. If locked, sure a cap can be broken into easily enough but the ''out of sight'' for the typical passer by removes much of the impulse urge to lift something.

I personally prefer a hard tonneau. Toppers remind me of a construction truck or one owned by an old guy ( even though I'm an old guy who was in construction for a time).

I like a cap over a sports bar been seeing quite a few sport bars on various trucks lately. I don't really care for the sports bar look, and they kind of get in the way.
