That don't look bad. I'm talking about the bars that look like someone fabricated a structure to the bed, and it isn't so much how it looks. I think they get in the way of loading the bed from the side and take up bed rail space that could be used for a cross box and don't provide any rear window protection like a cab rack. Other people like them and the sports bar can provide mounting for lights some times they can complete a certain look. The Toyota sports bar for the 4G isnt terrible looking.

Appreciate your responses guys. I just got my truck Monday and the guy I got it from has the topper for sale. I’ve never had one before so thanks for the help

Just took my topper off and sold it after having it on for 4 years. Really glad to have bed access again and improved visibility

I do agree, not counting cost, the biggest downside of the topper is visibility.

I like mine a lot now that it’s color matched, but I do think it rode better for the year that it was off. I think a new set of leaf springs and a lift will help mitigate the ride difference.

It depends on if you think you will need one or not. Also considered to that is the cost. If you think you may want it and the price is good, I would snatch it up. Painted tops priced right will disappear as they are so darn expensive new.
    The choice is yours.

That’s a steal. What are the options on the topper? Auto lock? Lights? Connection for the 3rd brake light? Windoors?

Don’t know the options, have not seen it. He lives 2 hours away and we traded trucks. I did not have him bring it when we traded because my wife is dead set against it.

That's a hell of a deal for sure. I just sold my 100R with a roof rack for $2300

That is a great price. If you even think you want it, I would buy it and decide later, as you can surely get that and more out of it. If you don't buy it (or it's already gone) and you want it later,,,, well you already know.

    You traded trucks? That’s wild.

I like having something to cover my bed or something to put stuff in to keep it covered. I live on a coast and right now it’s full mist. Now a days I’ve got a low profile tonneau cover.

I have softopper so it’s on and off … with a shell I would say leave it on to much hassle removing it . The truck does look better with it on .
