    Stock for now.. maybe
Just to put it out there.. i have a 1st and second gen and there is no need to modify suspension even with several hundred pounds in bed /on top even while pulling a camper. Just my input and experience. Maybe I'm just lucky

Edit..You are correct though. Soft topper much easier to remove

I spoke to a few shops before going soft topper . They did recommend doing suspension adding a leave spring to accommodate for weight .you may not see it for awhile but over time it will present it self .

I'm sure maybe overtime but why do it before or even right when you get it. Even without a shell or towing, suspension usually needs replacing eventually. My 1995 has original suspension and ive had a shell on it for 5 years.. not great but not bad either. I spoke to a few shops as well before my most resent hard shell on 2015 and some said yes beef it up some said why not wait and see. I think some shops would rather give people worst case scenario and make some money right away rather than make it in a few years. I figure when my rear end gets sloppy (hahaha) I think I'd rather just get a whole new leaf sping setup rather than adding a leaf.
Don't get me wrong im not trying to be an ass just giving my input. Take it for what you will...as a grain of salt

    Edit..
BTW sorry for hijacking thread OP just trying to give you my perspective

It's the lessor version of that pass-it-on thread.

Really well except for where the clasps slip over the hoops. Doesn't stick to SS as well as anodized extrusion.

Yes. Just a few coats of cheap matte black. Those $0.98 cans from Lowes / HomeDepot.

    Looking good!

303 FTW. I love that stuff. I'm gonna try using Meguiars PlastX on the windows to see if that takes out some of the scratches.
