    Hello !

I would like to rent a topper for a camping trip in June. I have a 2014 double cab short bed super white. I live in Los Angeles and I’m willing to meet up within a respectable distance, most likely the day before we depart.

I prefer a matching colored hard top but a black soft topper would suffice.

Dates are not set in stone but somewhere between June 12 - 21 (TBD)

PM me and we can talk details of pick up and payment!!!

Anyone with an extra cap out there for me to use !?!?

I live in an apartment in LA with no garage so buying is out of the question. I’m responsible and will take good care of it!

Why does living in a Apt. with no garage stop you from buying a shell? Honest question.

I think your deposit is likely to be cost of the topper. Think about that.:spending:

I’d like to have one just for special occasions and store it away when not in use. Not mounted all year around

What would you consider a fair deposit?

I was thinking we come up with a daily rate for however long I use it. If anything else comes up it will be handled.

Maybe you could store a Softopper in the back of your closet? They're only about 4 feet by 1 foot compressed. Then you'd have one whenever you need one.

I would call a place that sells them, they may have a used one, and may just do that.

I felt the same way until I had mine on and now I keep it on all the time. Like the look of it better and I can keep stuff back there without it being stolen. Hasn't hindered me from using my truck for lumber or other things form Home Depot. Might like it. If not, like suggested from someone else, a soft top might be a good thing to look into.

I feel that. Thanks for the input. I guess this can double as a “test run” if I like it or not. Never had a topper so it’s a little daunting shelling out the $ for something I may not like.

I can understand that. It's a big investment if buying new. I got lucky and found a leer in MGM color for $450 within a 3 hour drive to me so I had to grab it. So if you shop around on all the 2nd hand/used resources you can find, then maybe you can find a deal and it won't be that large of an investment. If you can find a good deal and you don't like it, it's almost certain you can sell it for your money back.

I recommend just buying a Softtopper. If you need to access the full bed, just fold it up.

This and if you want to take it off it takes like a couple more seconds of effort.
