Topper Tent Thread

It’s a great idea and I’m thinking about getting one. Would’ve already bought it if it was made of the same material as the softtopper. My only issue is how it flimsy it is. Some diagonal supports from the topper to the tailgate to make it stiffer would be awesome.

I have the Flated mid rise topper on my 2015 Tacoma I think the distance from the bed floor to the top of the topper is 40inches? Will the tent topper fit this?

Hi there! Thanks for checking us out! The main advantages of the Topper Tent is how quickly is can be set up and how it stores. Adding poles would increase set up time and would be difficult to roll up with the tent to store. We did change to a thicker material which does help. You can make it pretty tight by adjusting the tailgate buckles. Thanks so much for the suggestion, we will definitely keep this in mind!

 

When ever I check inventory it says outta stock, do you know when available? & did you evere reinforce the corners where it goes over tailgate corners. Thanx

 

Our mid-Size black current lead time is about 3 weeks. Every other size/color is in stock and ready to ship! We went with a thicker material so the edges do not need to be reinforced. Thanks!

 

Hi! I just purchased a V2 mid sized topper tent. Looking forward to it showing up! I was hoping you could list all the differences between V1 and V2. My main concern was a TW post from Sept, 09, 2022 that said the material was too thin. Was that the V1?

 

Hi! This would have been the V1 - the V2 has a much thinker material. Also, it has a netting "door" instead of a window so it can be zipped/unzipped from both the outside and inside.

Hello. What is the current shipping time for the black mid-size? I placed an order a week ago.

Terrible customer service. I waited over 6 weeks for my order and during that time, the item was in stock multiple times. I sent numerous emails to get updates on my order and barely received any responses. After almost 7 weeks, my order was just cancelled with no heads up or communication about it. I can't even give a review on the product because my order was never fulfilled and received nothing but the worst customer service from a small business.

 

Thanks for sharing. I have a Softopper on a Tundra and this almost feels like what I'm looking for. Is there a wider version that would fit the Tundra?

The price feels pretty high on the surface. So that also makes me a bit hesitant.

 

Couldn't you include adhesive backed soft Velcro strip for toppers without the carpet?

 

Does anyone have experience using this, and would recommend?

 

This is an interesting idea. I found a recent online interview with the owners/designers here: topper tent interview. They do say at 7:08 that the V2 is waterproof, which to me is a big deal. It's too bad that they seem so unresponsive to orders and inquiries lately. I have emailed them with some questions and might actually buy one of these...IF the response is there.

 

I emailed these guys a few weeks ago and they completely ghosted me and based on my research online they ghosted a bunch of people who placed orders. Buyer beware they’re probably out of business. I ended up getting a like new nomad ez lift on Facebook so it worked out in the end

 

As of November 7 they are still posting on Instagram

 

I got a shipping notification for mine today. Pre order for v2 mid size for steel topper.

Order was placed on 10/7 and they were clear about it being a pre order for the v2 mid size for smartcap. Iirc the the stated expected ship date was November-December. They did communicate via email about a two week delay.
