im not sure exactly the capacity, but it is likely around 3 gallons
Surely you had some left, but I could see you dumping at least two gallons on the ground

Glad u made it home. Being stuck in the woods with a disabled vehicle and a potentially huge tow bill is stressful

thanks guys. big help - glad I had you online i the middle of nowhere - was on top of a mountain so had cell. Am gonna add more oil to at least get it to where it overflows. Got an appt w the garage next week - fingers crossed.

On a funnyish side note - not having neutral or reverse made it interesting. Was in an old burn area full of downed trees (the same that took out my line) but luckily they were rotten so managed to move/chop to get truck turned around.

i think the full tranny takes like 12 quarts or something...about 3 gallons. 1 gallon may have not been near enough

Okay.... well tranny is shot. Took it to shop and they found metal so replacing tranny and radiator. Found a decent used one - thinking about attempting it myself. Buddy of mine is a mechanic so got some support - says I need like 2-3ft of impact extension, swivels etc.. Anyone got a good resource for dropping one of these? youtube didn't bring up much.
