    Damage to the evap system can also give you headaches when attempting to fuel up and cause the pump to shut off too soon or intermittently not pump correctly.

    The only vehicle I ever topped off was my old Ford 6.9 IDI diesel. No evap system on that and with dual tanks filling it all the way to the top of the filler neck gave me almost 6 extra gallons total.
