Well I have an old sport trac right now and my family fits comfortably in it so I know Tacoma would be fine as far as interior room. Tacoma is the better truck for me but I just like the look of the Silverado I posted better.

The 2022 Nissan Frontier is a great looking truck but not sure how I feel about Nissan. Its the right size and looks good imo.

I am going to stick with the Tacoma just can't buy a truck because of the look. Tacoma reliability, value and wanted to keep ot long term outweighs the chevys looks. Not falling for the hot girl lol

Chevy, great looking truck, lots of room, quiet, similar mpg, less resale, more fixes needed over time, but a good truck. Tacoma, fits in the garage, decent mpgs, best resale, very low maintenamce, smaller but comfy, easier to park. I almost did the same thing. A used chevy is cheaper...get the one that makes your heart feel good. Just no the facts. Enjoy! I have a 2021 trdordc...not a chevy

The one I will spend less money on for repairs is what it ultimately comes down to. I know the Tacoma is that truck.

Set aside a piggy bank to pay for a transmission/torque converter in that chevy. It WILL fail, just a matter of when.

You’re comparing apples to oranges, but I’ll play. I like the looks of the Chevy out of all trucks except for new Doge Ram rebel 1500, I think that’s the coolest looking babe.

And if it came down to needing a full size between the two, I’d choose Ram if reliability was not a concern. In other words, if I had a good spare. If I needed reliability and full size, it be the ford F-150 5.0L V-8.

And lastly between apples to apples, its TOYOTA Tacoma SR5 and second the Ranger.

In a nut shell, GM is at the bottom of my list in reliability, and second in looks, Dodge numero uno in looks, equal to GM in reliability, but that maybe changing for the better idk yet.

I had an order in place for a RAM TRX.....and then remembered RAM is owned by the same company that builds Fiats.....and if you gave me that Chevy I wouldn't drive it anywhere but straight to the first place I could sell it.....but we all know what opinions are like....:p

I've driven 3 Silverados, a Colorado, and a Sierra since turning 16. I now drive a 1st gen Tacoma. I wouldn't trade my taco for all five of those trucks today. Just my $0.02.

Get the General Motors product. You know you want it. I would get the Tacoma. But that's just me. And I have owned a Chevy Cheyenne in the distant past.

OP....check out this website. Monster used dealer in FL. They move inventory fast but seem to have a pretty good mix of Tacos, at the moment.....or if you really want a chevy, they have a bunch and sell them much less than the Tacos. I have found them to be a good gauge of the used market.....www.offleaseonly.com

I traded a Z71 Chevy Silverado with the 5.3l for the Tacoma I have now. I won't buy another chevy if that tells you anything.

Man, for the money, I'd go Silverado. I bought my 2012 Tacoma for $26K OTD, back then, even with GM employee pricing the Silverado I was $7K more.
Now-a days, Toyota charges $33k+ for Tacomas. funny part is for $38K you can get a Tundra or any other full size which come with a V8 to boot.
Don't get me wrong, i love my Toyotas, but Tacomas are expensive, long in the tooth, and under powered with the 3.5. Great for a commuter truck and fitting in city parking spots.
I bought a new Tundra for the same price people are paying for Tacomas

I think RAM is a great looking truck and all the car mags give it high marks. However, the one "Hemi" RAM I owned was a POS and though I truly applaud them for creating the TRX, I just can't imagine spending $75K+ for a FCA (sorry, now Stellantis) product.
