    LOL ^^ this.

Get what you can afford comfortably. New is ideal, but it depends on your budget. This isn't an apples to apples comparison, which is why it's so hard to decide, I totally get that. To me, the double cab is a no brainer and if you plan to keep it, you'll grow into it. Waiting is hard....I waited for 2 years to save up enough for a manageable down payment and drove my wife's old abused turd. I could have got something before I got this, but the Taco was what I really wanted and it was like Christmas day when I got it. Good luck with your decision!

You didn't include DCLB and I've had all three variations. My 1st was an 06' AC TRD Sport 4x4, then a 09' DCSB TRD Sport PreRunner, then to my current 12' DCLB TRD Sport 4x4. Once you've had a normal length bed (6.5'), it's tough to go shorter. I had my 09' DCSB for less than three months before I sold it and bought the 12' DCLB.

Also, having the option of 4x4 even if it's for random excursions, like driving a trail, on the beach, or in the snow, makes it worth it. My 2 cents.

Agree DCLB is the best. However, no 6MT, so lot of us are stuck ordering SB, even though we don't want to :(

I have an access cab and for my purposes it's been great. IMO the rear portion is absolutely useless to transport any human being or if you do maybe a small kid for a very short distance. My two cents, good luck .

This^ I too have had all three variations, each with plus and minus, the DCLB by far has been my favorite and best choice as far as bed space and cab space.

Good pick, for the not too much extra, id rather get new. When I went to get mine, they had a 2015 on the lot with 6000 miles for 2000$ less than a 16. I went with new.
and don't get married, you wont have to worry bout any car seats haha

$5k more gets you a much bigger and better interior, the color you want, AND brand new. If you can afford it, thats the way to go, no brainer to me.

EDIT: DCLB is more bestest btw. Every time I haul something I'm thankful I got the 6 foot bed, as most of the things I've done wouldn't fit in the 5 footer.

I originally had my heart set on the Sport because of the wheels and hood scoop, but I'm planning to get new wheels and tires eventually and I think I can purchase a new hood with the scoop for around $450 if I want it. I figure I might as well get the Off Road features such as crawl control and MTS and better shocks (doubt I'll ever need it).

The DCLB looks like a bus with the back half of the top ripped off. That thing is huge! I don't think I need that much truck, lol.

LMFAO... the DCSB is the one that looks funny, the bed is shorter than the damn cab... looks like an afterthought.

I think DCSB looks horrendous. Wide shoulders/chest and chicken legs. DCLB looks the right proportion.

However, for those of us insisted on 6MT only, SB is our only choice :(

Lol really? To me, the DCSB looks like it got rear ended...its too short. The cab is longer than the bed! The 6 foot bed gives the truck the right proportion, looks much more like a truck to me. Its still not as big as a full size. The 6 foot bed is also astoundingly more useful than the 5 footer. Everything I haul had used the whole bed, and I would have had to do multiple trips with the SB.

    To each their own though.

suicide doors squeak and vibrate when they get older in my experience. Only a factor if you're keeping it for a long time.
