Will it still play music in that mode?

Yes, all normal functions of android auto can run simultaneously with the gauges up. So you can listen to music, have maps giving directions and respond to texts hands free with the gauges up.

Not really, overall I like it a lot. There are a few things that could be deal breakers for some people depending on how you use your phone. For one, you can't use your phone when it's plugged into the radio. Another thing is that group texts do not work, and when I get group texts, they seem to block all other texts from showing on the radio as well. But having maps and all my streaming music on the radio is nice.

Sorry for the revival here. I'm looking at the TPMS BT caps that just screw onto your stems from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/KUFUNG-Press...4498&sr=8-7&keywords=tire+pressure+monitoring

Do you know if something like this works with a Car Play head unit (apple)? I'm debating getting that just to be able to spot check when aired down or something with a more continuously visible feature, like one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077G8BKFV/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza?th=1

Any experience with how accurate they are for tire temp? That could come in handy if you're really aired down...
