Can anyone tell me how in the heck you fit a torque wrench in the starter window to properly torque the bolts? I've tried everything but start removing stuff to get enough room for a torque wrench. I'm about to just crank on them and call it good. I can fit a regular ratchet but not a torque wrench. It's only supposed to be 35ftlbs anyways

I just give it my best estimate and tighten with wrench.

ALWAYS make sure TC is seated all the way, they usually dont just drop in place correctly without spinning them around

Hey all! I haven't gone through every comment, so hopefully no one has already shared this. Take a look at this Youtube video regarding an auto tranny replacement for an early to mid 2000's 4Runner. Yes, I know its not a Tacoma, but it will follow the same or similar steps needed to take down your auto trans, and also shows the replacement procedure. This guy is super helpful regarding Toyotas. It is a 3 part video. I've gained a wealth of knowledge from him. I have 241,000 miles on my 2009 Taco Prerunner. I'm not sure how much longer my auto trans will last, but I've been reading up on the transmission replacement procedure and found these videos to be super helpful. Hope this helps you all out. Cheers
