Torque Converter went out at 105k on 2020 Taco

Hey all,
I started getting the infamous shudder at speeds below 35 mph in low gear. Read up on the issue and took it into the dealership. They diagnosed it as the torque converter starting to go out and quoted me $3200 to fix. Other places say $1200.

Question : how long can I drive with this issue, is it true Dr Tranny "Shudder Fix" could solve it, and what do you recommend?

$3200 seems kind of steep.

$1200 seems pretty low to me considering labor and part rates. Be careful of the quality of work and converter you put back in. I would get a new OE converter and not a rebuilt one at some transmission shop. Just my opinion...

You are feeling the converter clutch vibrating in low gear ?
The converter clutch does not come on when in low gear

When was your last transmission service ?
Do you do anything unusual with the truck ? towing or a lot of city driving
Is your engine thermostat working correctly ?
