I just installed an aftermarket (u-haul) trailer hitch to my 2012 Prerunner SR5. The instructions said to torque all the M12 bolts to 105 ft-lbs. When I removed the bolts, they were not at 105 ft-lbs. This seems like too much torque. Does anyone know what the torque value should be? I put the bolts that came with the truck to 75 ft-lbs and the four that came with the hitch to 85 ft-lbs. Any help is appreciated--thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I think I will leave them torqued as they are.

Re-torque them after the first time you tow, just to make sure nothing shifted
