What adapter are you folks using for your Torque Pro app? Links please. I have bought 2 different ones & both stopped working (on 3 vehicles) within 6 months. Thanks.

After going through several I can tell you the Panlong and similar blue ones for $10-15 dollars don't seem to live too long if they aren't DOA.

I have the Bafx one, actually two of them that @j4roe linked to.

Had them a couple years now and while I don't use them constantly, they still work every time I used them.

I used to have them running constantly to monitor various temps while driving, but I don't do that as much anymore. They work great. And they're like $20...

I have an older version of that and it still works, probably 5 years old. From looking around at them it seems no matter what all of them are hit n miss.

I use mine on two different cars. The taco and my daily Honda Civic. I have noticed the OBD port on my Civic is a little temperamental. You have to push it in there a little harder for it to make it's connection but 2 years now and zero issues.

I will give you ONE HEADS UP right now though. After using Torque Pro for EVERY SINGLE drive in either car for two years now, the Torque Pro APP has burned an IMAGE on my GS9 screen... The ideal option what I plan on doing shortly is buying two cheap $70 Android tablets with GPS enabled to basically run a DIGITAL DASH and due away with the stock Toyota dash. Pretty sure a 10" tablet will fit in the gauge cluster and I plan on using velcro to stick the pad straight to the plastic cover over the gauges.

I just installed the BAFX harnessed to Torque Pro; it took about 20 minutes to perform a complete scan while I idled. 27 items populated- all green -with no indication of why the check engine light was on, or why it had been running rough at idle. Is there anything special we need to do for the Tacoma's check engine warning to be recognized? Is there some special setup or code that must be entered?
