I just ordered a Fumoto oil drain valve after reading some old threads here. I'm pretty excited about it. Is there a consensus on what it should be torqued down to? I know the OEM spec is 30# with a crush washer, but that seems way too high for this brass valve.

For anyone interested, I got the one with the nipple and the plastic clamp, from Amazon, link below. You can find it for like 2 bucks cheaper but I wanted that 2-day Prime shipping.

I just tightened mine hand tight, then about another 1/4 turn with the wrench. Felt snug but didn't feel like I was over tightening. Just my $.02.

Yeah, that's probably all it needs to be and I'm probably just overthinking it. Can't hurt to ask, though. Thanks!
