Torque spec?

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.
    Do the Ubolts and shackles have torque specs??

    Seems like in the shackles where too tight they would affect flex??:notsure:

    Yes, there are torque specs. I have the 01 to 04 manual and it lists specs for my 04. Ubolts are 90 ft.lb., leaf spring 116 ft.lb, and shackle pin mounting nuts are 67 ft.lb. Like I said, this is for my 04 taco just to give you an idea. Download the fsm for your 96 and the specs should be in there. Here is the link and it is a sticky also.
