Does anyone know the factory torque specs on these factory cross support bars? I looked online with no positive results, installing a CAT shield, and would like to button things back up to factory specifications.

    Thanks, John

Just get them snug the give em abother half turn or so.
You don't need to get out the torque wrench for every bolt.

Thanks, I found the answer here in the forum 34lbs. I know it's not necessary, but I like to get things back the way the engineers designed them when possible.

I would not torque the special bolts that come with the Sheild. I installed mine on my truck and the spec for the special bolts is in inch pounds.

Thanks, opted not to use the security screws on the cross supports, not seeing anyone wanting to spend the time to take out 8 bolts to remove just the crossbars to try to get the shield far enough away to try to cut out the cats?

I really like that Sheild. I understand what you are saying, even without the special cross member bolts, there are a lot of other bolts to try and remove. IMO, the thieves would just move to an easier target.
