Well I had a nice write up, but that thread was deleted, I suppose I got canceled I suppose my title wasn't PC enough. Anyway the gist of my deleted thread.

Torque down every nut and bolt you can!

Earlier this month I noticed my rear differential had a small leak. I had to retorque the carrier down, and all but two of the nuts were loose.

Well yesterday I was in a drive-thru with my window down and I went over a hump and my driver side front suspension made quite a crunching noise. I was all set to call the dealer and set up an appointment as my 23 off-road only has 3,100 miles on it. But I got to thinking that maybe I should just see if anything's loose. Sure enough three of the six nuts holding the strut to the tophat were loose, they require 1/2 to a little over one full turn. I was so shocked I had to make sure I had my torque wrench set to 47 ft lb.

Now after that I started looking up the torque specs for pretty much everything I could and so far what I've tightened down about 75% of the fasteners have been loose. No wonder my truck never felt right.

I know in the manual it says that the part of the first 10,000 mile service is to have everything inspected and torqued down. As we know most the technicians probably will just look at things and say it looks fine and I do that so I recommend everyone going through and working down everything they can on these trucks.

And I hopefully this thread won't get deleted.
