Do they make a version that doesn't have filled in headlights?

 

Yeah now that we tested everything we are going to scrub it and paint it.

not that im aware of. I know their tacoma to tundra conversion clip requires headlights and a grille to have the finished look.

 

i think they would just for people who might want to drive it on the street once in awhile. Regardless cant wait to see it finished with all the glass.

 

Holy crap! Your truck is awesome! Wish I had a set up like that! and that 2015 1-piece Engage glass is gonna look terrific on that beast.

 

I was considering going that route, but im way beyond street legal now i said fuck it.

Damn this truck is insane. What are the plans for a front bumper?

 

Plans are for a low bumper, nothing above or obstructing the grille with a valence.

 

I feel like when you bump out the rear end, that bed cage is gonna slap the ground.

 

right now I havent seen it hit, only time is when i burried the rear end in silt to the axle. Compression is low right now and we are restacking the bypasses. gonna keep an eye on it tho

 

Spent the last few days reading this whole build. My wife probably thinks I'm looking at porn... That would be cheaper. Love the work but it's giving me terribly expensive ideas.

 

Are you still using the stock steering rack?

Haha you guys are too funny. Yup still running the stock steering rack. I looked at upgrading then saw the price of beefier ones and decided I'll cross that bridge when mine goes

 

Better hope it doesn't go at a high rate of speed...

 

There will be an option fairly soon. Will be super beef, not sure what piece of mind is worth.

not on a 2nd gen, but its turning out to be a semi decent discussion. there are others who are posting their variations.

when you have something ready i would like a set for my tacoma. its something i should have had years ago. especially with having a front locker and crawling..

 

If all goes as planned I'll be in the dirt tomorrow night doing some testing.
