There are holes you must drill into the stamped steel bed pillars (which is the point of this item one might argue), but not into the frame or anything that you might later regret. Easy for anyone to install. The hardest part is removing the taillight.

Ever wonder if theres a chicken before the egg marketing concept with the bungee cords and straps.
They are making bungee cords just so you will buy stuff to attach them to.

Truthfully, I really hate those big blobular plastic Tie-downs that Toyota gives your for the bed rails. You can’t hook anything normal too them. The design of the @TOTAL CHAOS bed stiffeners is perfect for normal bungee cords and rubber straps and ratchet straps. They make securing stuff much less annoying, and provide varying heights for attachment. That’s the #1 reasons to get them imho.

hahhaaha no I am only bitching about the Toyota fatty loop tie downs. The ARE good for rope and feed through, carpy for hooks.

One day there will be an option for the entire bed to be carpeted with D rings and flanges with various sized holes and whatnot.

Haha...for sure. I just don’t want to get caught secretly having these after calling them stupid or something like that. I was wrong.

Funny thing my bungee is getting faded and nasty looking. Time for bungee #2!

So regarding the rear d-rings on the bed floor you have to remove to install this, can you relocate those to the front of the bed? I hate the tie downs high up on the sides that came stock.

    thanks team

Ive seen a photo on here of a broken bedside WITH bed stiffeners.

I have them installed but doubt that they do very much

One thing I noticed after installing them, is my canopy/camper shell seems to shift less over time. I used to have to realign it every so often.

Dont get me wrong, I’ve read folks on here saying that their bedsides went outnof square due to a camper shell and the bed stiffeners fixed the problem. Im thinking about getting the ATH front corner brackets too

    So. Many. Stickers.
You would have to find new bolts for up front since those washers cannot be removed and they are wide enough to prevent the d-rings from installing through those washers.

yeah people here think that the thin ass sheet metal the stiffeners bolt into at the bed are actually going to hold the bed together. mine were dented in already just from randomly loading things in the bed, and were pulled back to the stiffener when bolting it up. i bought these for the tie down points only because you'd have to be fooling yourself pretty hard if you think they are holding anything together.

    Staying stock.. maybe
I love the idea but hate how it creates another obstacle for drawer setups. Anyone have any experience here?
