Hello! So my buddy linked me to this thread as I have some spindle problems on my GX. I just found out after several failed alignments that my passenger spindle is bent so would likely have one un-usable core for you. Im curious if that’s a current deal-breaker for you or if you have a pair available? I obviously will ship you both cores and let you be the ultimate deciding factor. I’m located in Tucson. Thanks!

Don't think I posted mine afterwards. Installed them last year and then went to Moab. No problems at all. Thanks @glorifiedwelder for an awesome job.

no rush on my end. Just lmk when you send them so I can keep an eye out for them.

Hello. Bent spindles aren’t always a deal breaker depending on what kind of stock I have on hand. The only problem is I believe your GX uses a 4Runner spindle or fj cruiser spindle. Dimensionally they are almost identical, but some have different ball joint tapers and break caliper bolt threads. I don’t stock those spindles often. I generally only have 2nd and 3rd gen Tacoma and 2nd gen tundra on hand.

Gotcha good to know. Likely will have to purchase some new knuckles then. Have you had any experience with the new replacement ones available through rock auto or even Amazon? Figured I’d ask first before you telling me the metal is junk after I shipped em to you.

Do you happen to have a photo of these installed? I guess the prices went up because the cost of 2 nuts shipped came out to $17.00! LOL The ones you posted are 11mm in height and I've found similar castle nuts locally through McMaster Carr but they're 16mm in height.

I have had my hands on one set of aftermarket oem replacement spindles. I had a set shipped to me. They were very close dimensionally so the gusset kit fit pretty well, and they weren’t cast so they welded as good as the oem spindles. With that said my general recommendation is to stick with oem spindles, but is purely based on my lack of experience with aftermarket spindles.

Just wanted to update the thread. As many of you know we have had a waitlist going for spindle cores. We are finally starting to get cores back into stock so I will be updating the waitlist and reaching out to members to see if they are still interested in a pair.

Here’s a few pics of spindles I’ve done recently

ok good to know. I actually did a bit more research on my end with a friend and my UCAs (JBA) have provisions for an replacement OEM GM balljoint which is actually the same taper as the Tacoma, which is 1deg different from GX/4runner as you mention. If you’re willing, and have a set available, I would like to purchase a set of your spindles Pre-gussetted. I’d be able to send you my old ones, however they obviously would be GX/4runner. However you’d like that to work out is up to you.

Glorifiedwelder, I had asked in the other topic (cracked gussets) if it was possible to purchase new spindles through your Toyota dealer to save shipping from me to you. When you have a chance, can you send me a message with out the door price including shipping to 33411, for a pair of brand new oem spindles for a 2010 prerunner, the gusset kit, and install.

Reading back a few months, I see you are not building ball joint style setups. My truck runs Camburg BJ upper arms. Add a note in the message what my best option is for. Y truck if I do this.

Not saying it will happen, but can let me compare some costs.

    Thanks

I currently have one set of spindles in stock.

I also do removal, gusseting of your spindles, and reinstallation for customers who are local.

I'm planning a trip to Cali this summer and will definitely be requesting your services and products.
Additional black powder coat will be needed. Additional cost will be compensated. Can't wait for the summer to roll around.
