Another set of spindles coming to a mailbox near you. These belong to @ETXTacoma.

    Awwwww yes!

Thanks man! Now I just need to decide if I want to do generic flat black or try and find a nice gray or something to paint them with.

probably a little too late, but I’ve been using a lot of steel-it lately in black and gray. It’s an awesome paint.

I thought about going with Steel-It route, but dang is that stuff pricey! I would have but already have primer and black at the house I can use anyways.

It seems pricey, but I’ve found a can to last approximately 3 times as long as a can of spray paint.

I was originally s hepatica last of the price as well but after using it, it seemed like it wasn’t too far off from paint with as good if not better finish

What brand or finish did you use?

I have a lot of flat black, but who likes generic flat black.

It's just some rustoleum I picked up at Lowe's. Gloss Charcoal grey. It's actually darker in person the pic it seems really light. I primed with the krylon rusty metal primer first after wiping down with acetone and a quick scotchbrite sand. Then I painted some flat black a couple coats. Then this is about 2-3 coats of the grey. I lay my coats down as heavy as I can without getting runs. It turned out ok. Definitely can tell some unevenness in the gloss probably because of the way I painted them.

Bent a spindle last weekend. Was wondering why my alignment was shit. No cracks in the spindle or the weld, just bent.

I heard a bang coming down an incline. It was slow, I was turning, there was a small to medium rock in my path.
