Did you have to use a different upper ball joint nut to clear the gussets?

Do you have a pic of castle nut installed? I’m having the same problem and looking for solutions to safely secure SPC UCA to TC gusset spindles.

Aaaand TW has once again found me something else to buy. Watching for now.

Looks like it's good to go for 3rd gens and I can specify I have SPC UCAs to get a modified set that'll still work. Also saw some people needed a thinner castle nut for ball joints, just don't know of that specifically includes SPCs. I think I saw a post saying the modified spindles were good as is.

    All of them.
You'll need either modified or thinner nut.

Does anyone on here know of anyone else doing this? Few of us haven't gotten responses now.

What are you unsure of? I cannot speak on behalf of the OP but I have done quite a few of these setups.

Not unsure of anything, OP has just fallen off the map for whatever reason. I’ve had a couple members reach out and ask if I had gotten any response and they hadn’t either.

Just looking for someone else who might be offering this as a service. OPs last post was in January, and I’ve been waiting for a couple months on a return PM. OP seems to just not be active on here anymore. Could also be busy with life or maybe decided to not do this anymore.

Ah okay. I understand. I know he gets slammed with larger jobs. @m00seNUckLEz and I still do these. However, @glorifiedwelder is an awesome guy and I know he responds when he gets time. I would never try to undercut anything away from anybody. His skills are pretty amazing. I can also vouch for Ryan, @m00seNUckLEz does some really excellent work as well. You can make your own decisions from here.

You may also want to try his IG since most business seems to come from there and many are on there now. His sig on IG is on this thread.

This is the last set I’m doing for a while. Work has become too lucrative and spindles have become a job, and I’ve already got one of those. Gonna focus on doing stuff that will grow my skills and challenge me a little more.

With that said I have never seen a set of spindles @zippsub9 has welded, but I can tell you that I bought the majority of my spare cores over the last few years from Jason and he is a stand up guy, I wouldn’t hesitate doing buisness with him.

As far as guys on the west coast their are only three people doing spindle exchanges who I’d let weld a set for my truck. Those are ZE from @tacomaprosoffroad on Instagram (hopefully I can get him to chime in here, I can’t remember his tacoma world name). He’s an industry guy with a real welding background, a great knowledge of tacoma suspensions, and he’s in it for the right reasons. I’d also recommend derik from drtfabrication, he’s doing a spindle exchange program as well, and is one of if not the best mig welder on Instagram, he’s also got his own gusset design and isn’t stealing anyone’s ideas with the products he’s bringing to market. The last people are @fabzone on Instagram they are in San Diego and do exchanges as well as installs, also a knockout bunch of welders, not trying to learn on your shit. Those are the ONLY guys offering a core exchange on the west coast who I would let touch my shit. I won’t get into the other guys, just stick with those three if your on this side of the us, and want a product produced by guys with actual skills.
