    I thought the TC LCA didn't work if the shocks had lower rods that had bushing.

    I wonder if @Seabass busted out a grinder to make them fit.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought OME fronts had ball joint type ends like most other coil-over setups?

    That's a bushing lower rod end vs a coilover spherical bearing

    Is OME a fluke as it looks to fit?

    I am getting ready to replace the bushings in my race series lowers after 113,000 miles. Are the total chaos bushings my only option? Are there better bushings?

    Hey @TOTAL CHAOS when do y'all think you'll make a stock replacement uniball for the Tacoma/T4R/FJ lower ball joint? I can't imagine it would be too complicated to get them fabbed up. And I could see it being a large market for them.

    Race Series Lowers & Shocks w/ Bushing Rod Ends

    *Not compatible with shocks with bushing lower rod ends is referring to an OE type shock with large rubber bushings or something like the TRD Pro (Fox). The bushing lower rod ends contact the top plate (under compression the rubber bushing flexes and shoves the rod end into the arm) on the lower arm and rub. This creates a binding effect and can result in failure.

    The note was based on our current testing with bushing lower rod end shocks. We haven't tested every shock on the market so it's quite possible the Old Man Emu won't have problems.

    At this point after having them installed for a few weeks now, there is no contact with the lower shock bushing collar contacting the mounts on the LCA. I'll be keeping a close eye especially after putting these to the test at full compression. I'll report back any issues.

    The Urethane Bushing Kits are a tiny bit different;
    69770-R is for Race Series Lower Control Arms
    69770 is for standard Lower Control Arms
