Any news on “improved” bushings for these uca’s? The bushings they provide are junk.Day one fitment is terrible, they fall in, not a press fit I’ve installed many urethane bushings in my ricer friends days so this was a wtf moment. I installed and greased them and they were perfect. Then performed the loosening, greasing, tightening, relieving the grease pressure, blah blah. Then greasing doesn’t work, then replaced and repeat. So I guess the grease is to make up for the bushings not fitting properly?. I thought you greased them to keep them from squeaking and to keep them moving freely? Not to act as part of the bushing.

Sorry for the rant. I’m just tired of servicing and replacing these bushings prematurely because of a bad design. I just greased them again like shown in the total chaos tutorial, and they are clunking worse than before. Time to order another set of these bushings…these should not need to be serviced this much.

Have you called or emailed the shop directly and voiced your concerns? Brand new UCA bushings that are loose in the UCA is something we take very seriously. Squeaking can happen after a bit but brand new UCA bushings should never be loose in the pivot. I am who deals with technical problems. Email info@chaosfab.com and after it is received it will be forwarded to me.

Just a head up if anyone is doing this on a 3rd gen. It's 12mm to loosen the brake line bracket on the driver's side.

C0E02B03-E86E-4294-AA8C-A8DA3364B3DD.jpg Hi. Is this normal? The shop installed and greased it 2 days ago. Didn’t notice it before. Will the grease eventually ooze out to fix its self. DBD9F626-2B8B-4CA9-A647-32F134CD6DB0.jpg

Did you loosen the bolt first before you had released the pressure?

I had the same problem when I was re-greasing my bushings. What I did was loosen the nut, release the excess grease til the bushing goes back to normal and then re-grease the bushing with less amount of grease.

Looks like it's over greased. loosen the bolt and release the pressure by using a pick to push the ball of the zerk fitting. Then tighten up the arm again. Should be ok.

    Not much stock left.
@TOTAL CHAOS, I replaced my uniballs yesterday. The ball press you guys offer makes the job extremely simple.

I put anti seize in the space where the uniball goes according to the instructions. However, I noticed after driving that the uniball itself has a fair amount of anti seize on it. Will that be problematic in attracting dust and debris; therefore, wearing out the ball quicker?

I Also replaced the bushings, which after 65,000 miles, they still looked like they could’ve gone another 60k. I ended reversing the direction of the bolt because it was a beeach getting it back in. Damaged my a/c line in the process. Have you ever reversed the direction of the bolt?
