I just installed mine and while staring at them in awe due to their awesomeness a question struck my head!

Should I be worried about Mud and water caking the exposed ball?

You have nothing to worry about. I've had conccrete dry on mine, and had them submerged under water for 4+ hours, and they are fine. In fact....Im going on 4 years with no issues, and the original uniballs.

I got mine for $600 from Off road warehouse. I called them and the guy I talked to when I was ordering them asked at what price I saw them since they had them listed at different prices on the web and ebay. I told him they were like $600 bucks where I saw them on eBay so he sold them to me for $600 then fixed the price to something like $700.

    Real nice guy :)
