I have been reading all your questions and answers about the rear diff lock and what position You get the most traction, IE 4x4 H and 4x4 L and as I would understand it Just putting it into 4x4 h gives you computer and braking assist for Max traction in slippery conditions off and on road.
And switching from 4x4H or 2h to 4x4L from a stopped position you get all assist computer and braking No other buttons pushed unless you need the rear locker to pull someone out ect...
    Am I getting this correct?
I have had no snow in willow grove pa As yet. And I don't plan to be off road doing any aggressive driving with a brand new Tacoma, But you never know when you might have to do it or help someone out of a ditch.
Thank you all, I'm loving TW so far.
can't wait to read some of your camping and wheeling stories, where would they be?
By The way we in my family love camping in the mountains and I have a Ford escape AWD to carry stuff and now my Tacoma too. Plus I have the tow package too.

I Didn't take pictures yet, Tablet will take some good pictures.
It looks like Vbpipers in color Blue with the hood scoop and hard top bed cover.
6 Speed manual, Tow package and electric sliding back window lots of stuff and Rides nice too, Way better then I thought a truck would.

    Welcome Bob

I was like you... after owning the last to generations of 2wd pre-runners. Lats week was my baptism into 4wd. I spent a week up in WI and totally fell in love with it. So glad I listened to my wife and got 4wd. It's easier than you think, I just think that there so many different ways to use it, it kind of seems overwhelming but truly it's not.

Get on a dirt road, get the manual and just play with it. That taught me more than any thing along with taking long country rides on muddy farm roads.

if you have a sport...you don't have a rear locker nor do you have crawl control.
and if its manual, you DEFINITELY do not have crawl control and multi terrain select.

If you have a sport you have traction contol, simulated limited slip diff, and the 4x4.

Otherwise welcome to the site :)
