Got the email yesterday from @MESO that the Total Tail Stage 1 kit was back in stock. Pulled the trigger today. I also ordered the load resistors in case they are needed. If they are, then I have them right there. Worst case I spent an extra $25 I didn't need to spend. The install looks simple enough that even a total mechanically impaired dweeb like me can get it done :) Looking forward to receiving them!

I know I saw the update on instagram or somewhere. I would have bought a set but spent a bunch of money on my dog at the vet… maybe next time lol

Where can we order the switchback bulbs from? I’ve thought the same thing that it would be good to have on hand.

Easily my favorite mod ive installed so far. I’m even considering buying another stage 1 kit to “future proof” my tails from blown bulbs or harness issues.

Any gotchas regarding installation I should be aware of other than the potential hyperflash issue or is it as straightforward as it looks on the video?

Yes, although extremely simple, when I was installing mine, the little rubber washer seemed a little thing…. The one one each bulb… so I took off the rubber washer off the stock bulb socket and doubled it up .
You’ll see what I mean when you remove the bulbs and such. man’s again, very very easy. Before you reinstall your tail light housing, check to make sure they all work as led are polarity sensitive so you might have to flip them around

That was my plan since with my luck I would get the entire thing put back together and see an issue lol. I'll be doing this alone so I will use my phone to video as I test, then watch it and make sure. Good suggestion about the washers. I'm sure I will see what you mean when I have the bulbs out.

FWIW, I don't think there is a polarity issue with the bulbs in this kit. If there was, you'd see it mentioned in the install video.

Oh huh…. I watched the Chloe Tacoma gals video and mentions the polarity.. either way. I guess just check everything before installing the housing :)

Yea I saw that last night. She also takes out one more 10mm bolt than she needs to in order to get the tail light assembly out lol

My tails took A LOT of persuasion to pull off after I removed the bolts. You’ll be tempted to pull left and right but trust me, they pull straight out! If you pull left and right you will break the plastic mounts for your tail lights.
