    I've never seen them come into stock or the brake bulbs.

    However there is an option for back up's (spares)

    Yes, they work perfectly. The Meso switchback bulb that is provided uses a 3 pin threaded connector. The VLEDS kit I linked gives you the T adapters and they mate up perfectly between the meso switchback, meso harness, and of course a branch for the resistor to connect to so that it can all be plug and play.

    For a good metal surface for the resistor to adhere to and not melt anything else, I used the metal wall that is directly behind where the tail light bulbs are. I got under the bed, found the front side of that wall (towards the front of the truck), stuck on the resistor there, then the resistor wiring I ran through a big circular hole which led the wiring into the tail light wiring area. Easy as can be. 15 ohm resistors don't get very hot in most use but they can still get decently warm if the turn signal is on a while. So it made sense to adhere mine to metal and away from other objects.
