image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg This happened on Saturday morning around 6:30am, slid on some black ice/water (raining) across the opposite lane, hit the curb going 50-60mph and rolled twice, landed right side up by luck. My friend and I are okay just small cuts and bruises and my ribs hurt but not broken. We were driving towards Butte Meadows on highway 32. Will see what the insurance adjuster says but I think it's safe to say that it's totaled :(

Glad both of you are ok! Many years ago I was an adjuster, it's probably total loss :( If you want to rebuild it, you can always 'buy' it back as salvage title.

But is a testament to the durability and safety of these trucks!

Again, so glad to hear you guys are ok!

I had never been in an accident like this, I had no time to be scared. It happened so fast. I have driven this road many times in the winter and this time a patch of black ice got me.

    Glad you're ok!! That's a gnarly crash!!

So insurance totalled the truck, but is giving it back to you to sell/part out? Is that a better option than having them cut you a check and they take the truck off of your hands?

Do you have the cup holder divider thing with the arms that fold out to hold the drinks firmly??

If so I'll buy it from you.

I went the same route when an idiot in a WRX hit my '88 IROC.

Got the check from insurance (minus the $125 they deemed the car's salvage value) then spent the summer parting it out and then sold off the rest in one big chunk to a coworker who also had a Camaro. It sucked losing the car after having put so much work into it but at least I was able to get my money back and then some. Sorry to hear about your truck, but it looks like it held up well considering the speed and angles.

Sorry to hear that, I have driven 32 many times and even in the winter. I did not realize it was so dangerous. I am not originally from Chico but I graduated from Chico state and I came back and have been here 6 years.
