DO NOT let the Jeep's insurance company try and write you a quick check and make you sign a document saying you're OK. They will want you to, but wait awhile and see how you feel in several days. Get checked out by more than one doctor. Don't let the insurance company send you anything that seals the deal because once you do that, you are on your own if something comes up.

I was rear ended once while riding shotgun in my ex girlfriend's car, some 90 year old man floored it into the back of us at a stop light thinking he was using his brakes (gave me his Home Depot card when I asked for his insurance after the wreck, dude was not OK to be on the road). I was uninjured thankfully but my ex got pretty bad whiplash that took a couple years to sort out. Anyway his insurance kept asking me how much money I wanted to sign a document saying "I'm uninjured and won't pursue for damages in the future"...I was 20 years old and had no idea what to do. Asked them how much people usually get (dumb idea) and they said $500. So I took it, lol. I saw it as $500 I wasn't even asking for so what the hell.

I guess my point is, with a hit like the one you were in, don't sign anything like what I signed until you're sure you're in the clear. Get as many doctors to sign off on you as it takes.

Glad you're okay for the most part! KEEP ALL DR RECEIPTS!!! And I would heed to the advice of not signing anything or accepting a payout for injury just yet. Wait a while to see if your injuries get worse and if you go to Dr's related to the injury, keep every receipt. + keep track of any missed work because of it.

I was in a accident last Jan, and am still suffering from it. At first we thought it was just a muscle strain, but relised it was a herniated disk after a MRI. Get checkout, and seek treatment. you already went to ER so you should be eligible to have your PIP opened for all medical treatment. seek out some physicalT. It will deffinilty help your recovery.

Buy it back, jack up the radiator cap, roll another tacoma under it. Fixed!

In all seriousness, that thing is done.

Appreciate all the well wishes. Got it out of the tow yard today and took a clear look at it in the light. Definitely done. The entire cab and bed shifted. Panels all the way around the whole truck look shifted out of place.

Found out today that his insurance is accepting fault and I got an attorney to deal with medical bills (was hosed by another guys insurance just two years ago)

Looks like its just time to put her to rest :(

How many miles are on it? The entire front of the truck looks just fine, so the engine, tranny, radiator, A/C system, etc are all intact. This will make somebody a great parts truck! Also, I’m guessing the rear diff didn’t get too tweaked...?

All of the glass except the passenger window seems to be compromised. I saw a YouTube video of an early 1990s Toyota 2WD pickup participating in and winning a demolition derby. This truck could be good for that, and then pull the engine and tranny once the body is completely used up!

Someone will want that powertrain! The 2.4L/5-speed is among Toyota's most venerable powertrains!
