    All anyone here can do is guess.

    All you can do is wait.

    CRC makes a product that neutralizes battery acid. Baking soda will too. I recommend you drop a couple bucks and get that process underway instead of waiting.

    It's sulphuric acid. Highly corrosive.

    Most everything it lands on will be stripped of paint, and it will eat through the wiring.
