    Airbags did not go off. The frame has some places that are bent but not horrible to the naked eye. My big question is that when that axle bent at the angle you see in the pic, and the leaf spring was torn completely off, what else did it bend with it. The rear of the cab has a full imprint from the bed of the truck hitting it and then it bounced back. The rear driver side door is bent in where it will not open and there is a big dent the size of a softball in the lower corner of the cab right by the door.

    It's totaled, figure out what you need off of it and start truck shopping. Glad everyone was ok from the accident.

    I was gonna say no, but since the cab got damaged in the corner, maybe. If the airbags deployed it would of been a goner. It’s still possible they will repair it

    I would total it if you have that option. I wouldn’t want the hassle of getting it fixed plus the worry for the rest of your ownership of trade in value and if the work was done correctly.

    @nbratt ,

    Make sure that the insurance company takes into account your loss on the resale value. Determining loss is more than just the physical damage because Tacom’s hold their value so well.

    That sounds exactly like what recently happened to my 17 and they totaled it but yours looks a lot worse. Only thing is I was rear ended and pushed into the truck in front of me so I had some front end damage too. But, rear frame was crimped, bed was bowed up and cracked, bed hit cab and dented cab. Like I said yours looks ALOT worse so I would imagine it will be totaled if mine was. Mine was only 6 months old and insurance cut me a check for around 1K less than msrp. Make sure you tell them anything extra you purchased from dealership or provide receipts for aftermarket parts.

    Totaled. The Tacoma I bought totaled had less damage, and it was from the motor forward20180514_103136.jpg

    None as of yet
    that frame is a goner. Looks like the leafs were ripped out of it by the axle and no doubt it folded (by design) if the bed it the cab. And who knows what may be lurking in the tc/Transmission if the axle got ripped out like that. There could be a tweaked output shaft

    Looks like your rear is trying to make a right while you’re trying to make a left lol...I wouldn’t want this truck back.
