This is so true! I own a cabin in the mountains of north Georgia, and there are quite a few rental cabins on our mountain. And guess where Floridians love to go to vacation! The road up and down our mountain is a long twisty-turny one lane gravel road and these flatlanders have never seen anything like it! I see them driving up (and down) the mountain white knuckled all the time! And I cannot count the times I have had them roll down their window and say "how the hell do I get out of here?" :)

    Gap insurance.

I think typically offered by the bank doing the loan.
I get it on all my cars as I never want to be stuck with a payment for a wreaked car. From my limited understanding it pays off the remaining loan if the car is totaled and insurance doesn't give you want you owe on it.

    Sorry OP!
That is painful to look at...
    Glad everyone is ok!
It looks like a tree kept you from rolling? (Looking at the A pillar & roof/door joint damage on pass side.)

Good luck with a speedy Insurance resolution!

Jokes aside I'll bet your insurance covers the repairs and fixes it.

I hope the insurance does not see the pics of your truck hanging off the road like that. They may use it against you just saying, cause insurance are notorious for declining insurance especially if off road like yours. Good luck hope things turn up good for you.

Utter hogwash! It's not like the pic shows him boulder hopping. He was driving on a fully viable dirt road and lost control. Since when did insurance companies not allow you to drive on a dirt road?

Please don't post in the LR gen 3 thread, we can't handle losing one yet. All the weight from the racks, gas, gear can't help the stock suspension. Insurance can't love seeing this installed on a truck, despite some people never wheeling.

Hope you aren't an accountant, i mean its not off immensely but realistically even if he was at 3 years that 13,500 per year, its early so its more like 2 1/2 years of ownership meaning 16k. What do you calculate for 65000 American miles? joking..

Did it roll onto the passenger side or did it just hit a tree on that side? I'm not sure that it will be totaled. I guess it comes down to the frame... I'm glad that you are okay.

Man Sorry to hear about this. This is heart breaking knowing that you loved this truck so much but atleast you are OK and the truck did its job in protecting you. Let us know if you can part stuff out before Insurance gets there hands on it.
