Sorry to see but fortunate you didn’t roll it. Beautiful truck of course but Toyota will make you another. There’s only one of you, so glad you’re not totaled.

Mods might be a write off but residuals are in your favor. Also important is what you owe on it, if anything.

First. Glad you are okay and only dealing with vehicle and insurance drama. I can share my experience with my 2002 T4R that might help. Now, it was an older vehicle that what you have, but a fairly positive outcome given some of the crap resolutions I have seen for comparable situations. It might have been a dirt road, but you were on a road and not completely off road. That will matter. I will link my experience here. >> Good luck man.

Not sure if anyone answered but when you buy a car here you can tack on what’s called gap insurance, it covers you for the duration of the loan if you total your vehicle and insurance pays less than the loan total they will cover the difference.

That looks like Western North Carolina based on the terrain in the yellow poplar trees I see. You were NOT off road. That is a well maintained and graded gravel road, it is actually a better road than many around here, in Eastern Tennessee. I hope your insurance company makes you whole. Did you get a police report?

You are correct it is a county road. I was not off-roading, just driving to a friends house. And yes the police were called and made a report

Sometimes in moments of weakness I miss my roof rack and then I see a thread like this.

I’m sorry OP, this sucks. Excuse for a 4th gen?

Theres cost of mods and install of mods if you dont do them yourself too. Don't forget to add in color to your value too because you have a one year run on the color for the pros.

We call those "Half-Backs". Yankees that moved to FL but it's too hot so they move to the GA Mountains or, about half-way back.
It's an old joke. All in good fun. Florida is hot as shit in the summer.

Someone tried to pass me at 80 mph and totalled by 2021 TRD DCSB 6MT in June of 2022. I paid $44K for it December of 2020 and got $52K in August of 2022. Replaced it with 2023 TRD Pro for $56K, so I came out OK:

Yes, I was lucky. Another foot and I would have been center punched on the driver's side at 80 mph.

Regarding settlement, I looked over the valuation report with a fine-tooth comb and got them to add back in my ceramic coating and they missed by OEM tonneau cover along with a few other things which they added back. The good news, is that the insurance company let me remove my tonneau cover and whatever other accessories I could get off and I put them on my TRD Pro, which actually gave me more of a settlement. The settlement exceeded policy limits from the at fault party, but fortunately I had under-insured motorist coverage. I was also without a truck from June to February, but I had another car to use. They only paid for a rental until they deemed my truck totaled.
