Do you guys in USA have something called replacement insurance waiver. It's about an extra $20 a month on the policy and can be had for up to 3 years. If you write off the vehicle the insurance gives you a full refund on what you paid for it. I have it on my new vehicles. Someone I know got a full refund on a write off a while ago using this. It was 6 months old.

Our insurance is state by state, reguardless some companies offer a full replacement coverage.
