I have, but I have a really dark and sometimes misunderstood sense of humor. I actually have to try not to hit them on a daily basis here in this little farm town I live outside of.

Will keep everyone posted on the buy back cost. I am in Denver.

Anyone have experience with pulling upgraded parts off the vehicle and replacing with OEM below the model spec, in regards to insurance? For example, I am looking to take my Fox springs and strunts and replace with stock SR5 gear, also custom rims/tires will be swapped for steelies. My instinct is, since my insurance company does not operate in the state where the accident and subsequent processing of the loss occured, they will have agents acting on their behalf. If anyone has gone through a similar insurance claim, please let me know your experiences.

no way is that totaled. unless the frame is bent. honestly, doesn't look too bad. i'd say it's about 12-14k in damage.

My 2010 was older but yes I pulled a lot off and out OEM back on. In fact the guy at the yard brought more tools out as he was like you need to pull all of this off. The agent that looked at the truck never saw it in person. Just on a video.

I was T-Boned by a lady running a stop sign. Mine was totaled after 3-4 weeks of sitting at a repair shop. Was disappointed but the value of my ‘10 was so high and they couldn’t get parts hence why totaled.

All in all it worked out good in the end. We have USAA for insurance and was happy with the result. Hope everything works out for you.

Perhaps if you don't have the original springs/etc, someone will buy your Foxs for cash and their OE stuff plus the swap work. Or see if someone has takeoffs free/cheap.

Except he already said it was totalled.

How does it seem odd that the airbags went off? Look at his impact bar. It took a direct hit. The impact sensors are usually located on that top of that bar.

Sorry about your truck and glad you are OK! I have OEM suspension from my 2022 if you need some cheap parts so you can swap out your Fox kit

Oh yeah, there was absolutely 0 change in inertia when that wheel come directly at OP. Clearly it must of been a defective sensor

As I said, you don't understand how the sensors work.

It is a very complex systems that I don't have the time or energy to explain. Might I suggest you spend a few minutes on the YouTube because there are thousands of videos that you can educate yourself on the technology? It isn't as simple as crushing a sensor and the entire system deploys.
