I flipped my truck a couple weeks ago while offroading. I have a 2002 TRD SR5 extra cab. Right now we think we are going to sell it to the insurance company and buy it back. It was mainly only the cab that got messed up so we are looking for a good cab to put on it. Thankfully me and my two other friends that were in there did not get hurt! (We probably would have died if we were in a ford haha) but if anyone has a junk or part truck sitting around i would love to talk to you about getting your cab! or if anyone knows of a good cab at a junk yard somewhere please tell me! The best one i have found in the junk yards around me is a little burnt haha! (pics below) and for some reason most of the ones in the junk yards have all been rolled haha.. :notsure:
And i live in San Diego but i am willing to travel a little for a new cab. So if you are within a couple states and know of a cab let me know!

Heres my truck :( took them with my gopro so they are a little fish eyed

How bad is the inside of that burnt cab? it doesnt look that bad other then the door, which could be replaced easy enough.

its mainly just that door, passenger seat, and roof. so it would be a little bit of work but its my best option so far

I had aired down to 16 which my dad and I always do. and I took a turn which i had taken plenty of times without airing down. and as as I was going threw the turn at about 45 MPH my tires de-beaded and it dropped onto the rims and made me flip about two or three times. It landed on its wheels and i just put two spares on and kept offroading and drove it back to my dorm.

Also for folks that missed the boat on the re-frame, that frame looks minty.

I want a basket ontop though, but yeah haha you got bigger worries then wanting a roof rack. How much are they asking for that cab?

Can you buy a cab in California? I ask because many states will not let you buy a cab off a salvage yard because the VIN plate is affixed to the cab, and the VIN is usually branded on vehicles that hit the salvage yards.

they were asking 1,100. but I would go with 800 and tell them thats all I have. But it looks like my dad is leaning toward buying a 4WD now! We are going up to arizona this weekend with a trailer to look at two trucks, and I think my dads planning on bringing one back!!

The guy at the junk yard made it sound like i could buy just the cab. If i do get a cab though, I'm just going to put the vin # from my old truck on the new cab... if thats legal?

Not legal to revin. But what you can do is submit supporting documentation to the dmv and they will add that number to your original vin records. Its a annoying process the requirs inspections and stuff at the sheriff office.
