I think we need to chill out. No need for people to play these kind of games.

Have long since lost the pics to a hard drive gone bad, but here's one with 5 bulls in the back of a LB Gen1 (not mine). At least 3 of those were not broke down before being put in the truck.

Elk are big, but not so hard to fit a good bull into a 5' bed with the tailgate down.

short bed owner and i haul my motorcycles a lot or have a friend with me too. so 2 bikes in the bed mean tailgate would have to be down either way. i also have a trailer i use occasionally and while it is easy to load sometimes its nicer just not having to tow it around and find parking.

i vote short bed because theres nothing that has stopped me and said i wish i had an extra foot of space.

I say get what ever you think looks best.

I have to put my tailgate down even with a long bed.

But I like having the long bed to fit longer things in with the tailgate up. So far it's been just my skis but it was nice not to tie them down .

I’d go short bed. It’s going to be easier to park, maneuver etc in the city. If you need the extra space, a trailer is the best option - either pick one up or rent one when you need it. There really isn’t anything that’s going to fit in a 6 foot bed, that you can’t also haul in a 5 foot with the tailgate down.

Both pro and OR are great, just depends on what you want.

I had the same debate. I went with the PRO because I wanted the color. Yes I admit I paid MSRP for a special color. :crapstorm: If the PRO came with a LB it wouldn’t have been a debate. I haven’t had a truck since I sold my 99 F150 a few years back.. I think that had a 6’ bed and it was never big enough most of the time. Seems to me I usually needed a trailer anyways. Just my thoughts haha

Often wonder how bad of a driver one has to be to maneuver a truck with one foot longer wheel base in a city. UGparking is a joke anyways, and the trucks fit people just need to take their time and not be in a rush. For work I regularly drive f350’s with a proper long box 8’ and those are a pain, yet we manage to park them pretty much everywhere we go, cities, malls, star bucks drive thru, ug parking. It is about skill with driving. And with pickups your a moron if you drive into a parking spot your just asking to get hit or hit someone backing out, seems to be a lost skill with a lot of drivers.

I drove a van for HVAC service for almost 20 years til I moved into the office. I think it should be a drivers test requirement to parallel park a full size van with no back or side windows lol! I also made do with AM/FM radio vinyl floors and manual windows. Come to think of it I walked uphill both ways to school.:anonymous:

Agreed, I know so many people whom have never parallel parked even on their drivers test. We all hate it but sometimes it is unavoidable and needs to be done.
