New battery bracket says "TRD" so I estimate it added like 12hp.

I think maybe I fixed some of the leaks in the shell/bed.
Been having water run out from under the bedside cover pieces. Didn't feel like lifting shell to remove those caps though.

    Cheap and easy fix:
Removed the storage bins, sprayed mud out from inside the bedsides with water hose, reached in to smear a rag around as best I could, sprayed again. Next day when it was dry, sprayed a whole can of that krylon rubberized underbody coating up in there.

Drove about 70 miles today in the rain. Didn't see any signs of water running out from under side rail covers when I got home.

I decided to check out a potential new fishing spot in Tipton county on my way home from the LBL meet. Funny that the lakes didn't seem high but the rivers here are still up a good bit. Just about could launch a boat from the end of the parking lot. A fat country boy cannon ball into the river would be enough to splash it out of the banks right here.
River is behind truck in this pic and that water you see is the driveway along with some submerged parking area. Was careful not to splash off all that mud earned at the meet as I rolled through. :mudding::D

    @WSMFP
I have the old model dakars, no added extra leaf.

There wasn't an option back when i got them. The choice between standard or heavy is fairly recent. I'm not sure whether the old model is closer to new standard or heavy option.

Good to know! the heavy option is supposed to give 2.75 in rear with constant loab of 660lbs. With a cap a lil more than 100 and a rear bumper around 100 it could very well be too much

Going to a new rear bumper doesn't really add full weight either. The factory tow hitch is pretty heavy so if it comes off, the net increased weight to the truck is low.

You could start with standard springs then add a leaf later if needed. Or if you get heavy springs, remove a leaf before install, then you'll already have it if you need it back in later.

The old Dakars are the equivalent of the new Heavy Dakars. The new standard Dakars are the same as the old Dakars with the third leaf removed. I'm running the old Dakars plus the AAL. Would that be double heavy duty? Clear as mud right?

Thanks for the clarification! I believe so that they would be "heavys" how do they ride for you with your added weight?

It's been a great ride, but my bumper is really heavy and all the weight is behind the suspension which compounds it.

Truck sure did make the garage stink tonight.
Seafoam in the oil, in the gas tank, and through the throttle body. Smoked a lot.
    Engine oil changed.
    Rear diff oil changed.

I've never used fluid film to compare to but this WD40 Dry Lube PTFE spray is impressive for keeping mud & grime from sticking to the truck. I think, if my UCA had uniball, it would be ok for that too. I only really use it on the coilovers and little bit of frame around it so far though.

    electrical work sucks.
One of the LED pods in mounted in my rear bumper quit working a while ago. Meter showed plug had power so I checked the light. Light worked fine when I plugged it in to a different socket. WTF! Power at the plug and confirmed light is good, it should work, but no. I said F it and just left it not working for a week.

Went out to look at it again last night after work.
Maybe it's the plug even though I used the meter in the plug? Nope. Put on a new plug. Still getting power but light still not coming on.

Finally, realized that the plug that was working had 12.2V and the other had 11.6V. Didn't make sense why the light wasn't coming on since a little 9V is enough to make it light up dimly at least. But it also didn't make sense why left and right had different voltages.

So I started pulling out all the nicely wrapped/bound wire and cut away all the covering and the heat shrink along the way. Finally found that a wire had broke at the solder where I split out the 1 main supply to 2 separate left & right power wires. End of a wire was just held in by the heat shrink. I assume it was making just enough contact for the meter to read a voltage but the little stubble of strands still sort of making contact couldn't pull the amps for the light to work. That's my best guess diagnosis anyway considering how I measured voltage but light wouldn't come on. Ran a new a wire, fresh solder on the connection, fresh marine heat shrink, and now it all works.
By 9:45pm, finally fixed, tools away, and ready for dinner. :hungry:

This sounds like the reasons why my Wolo is intermittent. I need to relocate it anyway so it isn't drinking mud and swaying so much over bumps. Most likely 99% of the problem.
