Any suggestions for a "cheap" or cheaper hotel to grab down there? Free day away from the kids... hell yeah we're staying the night!

    Hell yeah!

I just checked using Kayak (I haven't needed a hotel down here)
There's some on the cheap for ~$50
    upload_2017-1-9_10-29-59.jpg
But most of the nicer places are running 100-200 for a night.

Thanks bud. My wife checked some local hotels down there and they are like $100 a night but one of them "The Inn at the Park" was a 2 night min.

if you're open to it, check out Air B n' B also, you can opt to rent the whole house unit so that way there's no creepy person there and you have it all to yourself

You have a camper shell. Do some spring cleaning back there and you got yourself a free stay!

Ah gotcha, I didn't catch that.
^ This would be a great idea. Air bnb worked great for us in Big Bear.
I'm pretty sure he was too nice and gave his sleeping platform to some punk who isn't offering to loan it back for the weekend :burp:

(Also good idea, but idk if he'd get in trouble for camping on the "street", idk the rules around that)

I should just drag my dads trailer down there and find a place to park it. That would be the cheapest.

He's got curtains, if he's parked in a legal spot no one would know! Haha. I may be using the platform for myself!

Just a quick update for anyone who has NOT purchased a ticket. It appears to be sold out at the moment, but tickets should be going back up for sale (at a higher price) January 31st.
