I want to get a new head unit for my truck, but my concern is that the dust will accumulate on the screen and in turn, the screen will get scratched over time with repeated use.
Has anyone else had an issue like this?

Definitely a risk, especially if you offroad with windows down. I threw a screen protector on soon after i got one. Highly recommended.

I was wondering about that, I have never had a touch screen head unit.
And I do off-road with my windows down.

They're okay and helpful, but of course can be scratched if you're not careful. I got a basic one off of Amazon, but if you decide not to go that route, keep a microfiber cloth handy

I keep a microfibre cloth in the glove box for this very reason.
